TTI’s vital work to be highlighted on BBC Radio 4

We are delighted to share that the transformative work of Trauma Treatment International will be featured in a BBC Radio 4 Appeal on Sunday, February 23.

Call The Midwife actor Christopher Harper will voice the broadcast at 7.53am and 9.25pm, explaining how the trauma treatment and support we provide can help people move on from horrifying ordeals such as torture, trafficking, slavery and war. And he will call for donations to be made so we can continue our vital work in 2025 and beyond.

TTI CEO Quen Geuter said: “We are a small charity which makes a huge impact. Since we formed in 2017, our expert clinical psychologists have worked tirelessly to help people with post-traumatic stress disorder overcome their symptoms. We now want to spread our reach across the world even further and support even more people.

“Being a small charity, we rely on grants and personal donations to be able to carry out our vital work. That’s why we’re so pleased to have been chosen by BBC Radio 4 to be featured in a fundraising appeal. We hope that listeners will spurred on to support us through donations, no matter how small. We would also love this broadcast to inspire people to speak out about their own trauma to break the stigma of mental health issues.”

Christopher added: “I am tremendously proud to be presenting the Radio 4 Appeal on behalf of Trauma Treatment International. I’ll be telling the story of Tuğrul (pictured left), who came to TTI with PTSD after being held captive for eight months.

“Working with TTI offers me the opportunity to raise awareness of the vital need for trauma treatment and the complexity of trauma for those who have survived torture, trafficking, slavery and war. Please listen in and donate to TTI’s vital work.”

Our Radio 4 Appeal will be repeated on Thursday, February 27 at 3.25pm.

Details of how to donate will be available soon.
