We work with organisations all over the world to end trauma.
Goal 1: All victims of collective violence receive the evidence-based trauma treatment they need, without undue delay.
Goal 2: Everyone exposed to collective violence through their work is protected from traumatic stress.
Goal 3: Society understands that victims of collective violence suffer psychological trauma, and responds in a trauma-sensitive way.
Goal 4: Collective violence is significantly reduced through the successful action of human rights defenders.
Together we can build a society where we can all live our fullest lives, free from psychological trauma. War and violence have brought trauma into our homes and communities on a scale unseen for a generation. We can respond by informing ourselves about trauma and reaching out to help those around us in a trauma-informed way.
I’M WORRIED ABOUT workforce trauma
i’m hosting a survivor of trauma in my home
i would like trauma training
I have a client in need of trauma therapy
WE have developed RESOURCES and training FOR TRAUMA-EXPOSED ORGANISATIONS.
RESOURCES TO HELP HEAL
Vicarious trauma is a very real problem for those exposed to the suffering of others through their work. We enable organisations to mitigate against this, and have a library of resources which can help.
“What therapy gave me was the
ability to have strength in myself.
I am very grateful for my therapist.”
“The most important point for me is that I don’t feel like a ‘once in a decade’ case at TTI. It really makes a difference.”
“Now, we are able to spot the signs when someone is in the ‘red zone’.”
CASE STUDY
A project to embed trauma-informed practices at London charity Women for Refugee Women has had a transformative impact on its staff and operations.
“We make sure that if people feel overwhelmed, they take time out. There has been a real mindset shift in this regard,” says director Alphonsine Kabagabo.
