Quen Geuter: CEO +
Quen has over 20 years' experience in the non-profit sector, helping start-up and smaller non-government organisations to build scale, capabilities and relationships.
Before joining Trauma Treatment International, she ran her own consulting business for seven years, advising boards and leadership teams of non-profit sector organisations.
She was previously the Global Head of Fundraising at Laureus Sport For Good Foundation. Quen has a Master’s degree in Development Management from the Open University and is completing an MSc in Globalisation, Environment and Social Change at Stockholm University.
She brings a wealth of fundraising, communications and partnership development experience from across the world to her leadership role at TTI.
In everything she does, Quen carries with her a passion for social justice and equality. She is proud to be leading Trauma Treatment International as it moves into its next stage of growth.
She joins the board, founders and team in their determination to provide access to essential mental health interventions to those who need them most, in the UK and around the world.
dr Folasayomi ajumobi, Business Development Manager/Fundraiser +
Fiola possesses a unique blend of medical expertise and business acumen that sets her apart. Drawing from her extensive background, Fiola brings over five years of invaluable experience in business development, having served within governmental and non-governmental health organisations spanning Nigeria, Canada and the United Kingdom.
Her journey has equipped her with a profound understanding of the intricate dynamics within varied organisations, allowing her to navigate the complexities of funding acquisition, partnership cultivation, and the establishment of sustainable funding streams for TTI.
Beyond her professional endeavours, Fiola's passion lies in mental health advocacy. She fervently believes in the power of preventive health approaches to bolster individual resilience and enhance overall well-being. She is an international medical graduate currently awaiting GMC registration, with a masters in Business Administration.
Tiffany watts, strategic advisor +
Tiffany has worked in the development sector for over 20 years, first as a fundraiser and then as a CEO/director.
She specialises in organisations conducting ground-breaking work in child protection, refugee support and anti-trafficking.
Tiffany has worked with projects in 11 different countries throughout Asia, Africa and Latin America steering global strategies, seeding new initiatives, scaling and managing change.
She says: “I love working alongside courageous leaders who have a strong desire to change the world, challenge status quo and work collaboratively to put those they serve at the centre.”
Dr Brock Chisholm: Founder and strategic advisor +
As a consultant clinical psychologist, Brock has over 15 years' experience in the psychological assessment and treatment of trauma survivors.
He has assisted in the development and implementation of comprehensive services for trauma survivors internationally.
He is also an advisor to several non-government organisations on self-care, along with the prevention of burnout strategies for staff who work with traumatised populations.
Brock has provided expert witness in several high profile human rights violation cases in both UK and international courts. He is an approved expert for the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative hosted by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and is an elected board member of the UK Psychological Trauma Society.
claire owen: communications consultant +
Claire has 20 years’ communications experience, having previously enjoyed roles as a local newspaper reporter and as the account director of a PR and marketing agency.
As a freelancer, her work includes copywriting, design, and management of websites and social media channels.
Claire's clients come from a wide variety of industries including social housing, theatre, financial services, food and drink, and not-for-profit.
She has a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and American Studies, and a postgraduate diploma in print journalism.
On a personal level, she has a keen interest in mental health and finding out what makes people tick.
Dr Sarah Whittaker: Trauma Clinic Manager +
Sarah leads our Trauma Clinic, which provides psychological treatment to victims of extremely threatening and horrific events, such as torture, terrorism and hostage situations.
She is an expert in the assessment and treatment of victims of trauma, and has worked extensively with specialist trauma services both in the NHS and charity sector.
Her international experience includes working with grass-roots and government organisations in countries such as Iraq, Democratic Republic of Congo, Sri Lanka and South Sudan.
Sarah has acted as an expert witness in a large scale war investigation and for the UK Asylum Court. She leads on the development of many of TTI's worldwide projects.
Dr Katy Robjant: Founder and Strategic Advisor +
Katy is a consultant clinical psychologist specialising in the treatment of PTSD and other trauma-related disorders in asylum seekers, refugees and victims of trafficking. She has a number of research publications in this area.
She is currently the Narrative Exposure Therapy lead at TTI and is the Director of National Clinic Services at Freedom from Torture.
Previously, she led a trauma-related mental health project for victims of sexual and gender-based violence, as well as former child soldiers in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). This was for VIVO International in collaboration with the Social Fund of DRC.
Katy has also worked within specialist PTSD services in the NHS, the charity sector, and in both conflict and post-conflict settings in Sri Lanka, Uganda, Ukraine and Rwanda.
She has given expert evidence in the UK and in Strasbourg in both criminal and civil court proceedings, and to Parliament. She is a member of the British Psychological Society Presidential Taskforce on Asylum Seekers and Refugees.
Dr Lotta Raby: clinical lead +
Carlotta (Lotta) is a clinical psychologist, psychotherapist and human rights specialist, with significant experience in providing children, young people and adults with psychosocial and psychological support.
She has created evidence-based psychological protocols for use with people affected by traumatic exposure. She has also founded an international charity to ensure that children and young people exposed to collective violence or natural disasters can access effective treatment at no cost.
Lotta has worked clinically in the NHS in acute mental health hospitals, psychiatric intensive care and acute paediatric units. She has also worked in a variety of NGOs, both in the UK and internationally for many years.
Her research has focussed on the role of untreated psychological need in violence perpetration, and preventative action. Lotta has particular expertise in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder, complex post-traumatic stress disorder and supporting frontline staff/organisations working with traumatic material to protect themselves effectively.
Lotta is highly committed to the aims and objectives of TTI and considers it a true gift to support the organisation and the people we work with; all of whom are committed to preventing and mitigating the psychological impact of collective violence.

DR JONATHAN BUHAGIAR +
Jonathan is a clinical psychologist and systemic psychotherapist with expertise in trauma and complex care.
He is currently serving as a psychology co-lead for an NHS Early Detection and Intervention in Psychosis service. He also brings international experience of developing mental health capacity, including with frontline staff in statutory, community and non-governmental organisations.
Jonathan has a particular interest in helping organisations develop trauma-informed approaches that support staff members in their roles and in their delivery of care.
DR HEATHER DYSON +
Heather is a counselling psychologist who currently works with the National Crime Agency assessing for workplace trauma.
She has previously worked in trauma services in both the NHS and the charity sector, including treating veterans and training emergency services in trauma-informed approaches.
DR Zoe Given-Wilson +
Zoe is a clinical psychologist who specialises in treatment and research in the areas of child development, trauma and forced migration. She works therapeutically with children and young people who have experienced trauma and are separated from their caregivers, both through the care system and due to forced displacement.
Zoe is trained in trauma processing therapies (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Exposure Therapy, Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) as well as mentalisation-based treatment and narrative approaches.
Zoe also works as a post-doctoral researcher interfacing between psychological research and legal proceedings including interview techniques, autobiographical memory, decision making and credibility assessments. She has worked with third sector and governmental organisations to inform policy and practice in these areas.
ARLETTE KAVANAGH +
Arlette is an experienced and accredited specialist, systemic psychotherapist.
Arlette has a broad range of experience working in both in adult and children's mental health and has developed a specialism in the treatment of trauma. Arlette runs a small private therapy centre, predominantly treating trauma in families and adults, but has worked in the refugee and asylum sector for a number of years as well.
Dr Anna Churcher Clarke +
Anna is a clinical psychologist working therapeutically with children, adolescents and their families, who have experienced sexual violence.
She is trained in investigative interviewing with vulnerable child witnesses who are pursuing a criminal justice process following disclosure of sexual abuse.
Prior to her clinical training, she worked for four years in a variety of roles with refugee and asylum-seeking adults and families, including positions at the British Red Cross and Refugee Action.
Anna is currently the joint lead at the children and young people’s psychology service at The Haven, a sexual assault and referral centre at Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
dr charlotte flothmann +
Charlotte is a counselling psychologist specialising in complex trauma. She is passionate about supporting refugees and asylum seekers and has worked as a clinician, teacher and consultant for many years in the UK and internationally. Charlotte currently teaches on a psychology doctorate promoting trauma-informed and culturally-sensitive practice.
MEL KAKKAR +
Mel is an experienced and accredited Psychological Therapist and also a Registered Nurse. Mel has a broad range of experience in adult mental health and has developed a specialism in the treatment of trauma. Mel is currently working predominantly in private practice, but has worked in the refugee and asylum sector for a number of years as well.
dr ashley miller +
Ashley is a clinical psychologist who has also trained in family therapy. She is currently joint lead of a sexual assault referral centre working with children, young people and their families.
As part of this role, Ashley has trained in investigative interviewing with children and young people, where there has been an allegation of sexual assault.
Ashley has extensive experience working with trauma including in a adult traumatic stress service, with young people who have experience of the care system, and through her previous work with the British Red Cross.
Ashley uses trauma-focused cognitive behavioural therapy, as well as systemic, narrative and trauma-informed ways of working. She is very much influenced by social justice and liberation psychology frameworks.
DR jill domoney +
Jill is a clinical psychologist and research associate in the Section of Women’s Mental Health at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, Kings College London.
She specialises in the links between mental health, violence and trauma, and has a strong background in developing and evaluating how health services respond to mental health needs and disclosures of violence at both a strategic and policy level.
This includes, for example, working with Sexual Assault Referral Centres to explore how they identify and respond to mental health needs within a trauma-informed framework, and working with maternity services to support the implementation of Independent Domestic Violence Advocates.
Clinically, Jill has provided both individual and group therapy to pregnant and postnatal women suffering with a range of psychological difficulties, including those who have a history of interpersonal trauma, and those who have experienced traumatic births.
Dr Cara Gibson +
Cara is a counselling psychologist with a wealth of clinical experience in trauma.
She worked for several years treating British combatants with PTSD. She currently works with individuals and families affected by cancer, including people who have a non-curative diagnosis, and bereavement.
DR MANVEER KAUR +
Manveer is a clinical psychologist who has worked for over ten years in the field of trauma.
She has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of PTSD, complex PTSD and other psychological difficulties, particularly those that have arisen from traumatic experiences in the context of war and military culture.
She holds substantial experience in the development of service projects, service evaluation, teaching and training. Manveer is currently working as a Teaching Fellow at the University of Surrey.

ANDREA THOMPSON: CHAIR +
Andrea is the head of fundraising and communications at Family for Every Child. She has nearly 20 years' fundraising experience. She has developed and managed fundraising programmes in the UK as well as across 15 global fundraising markets.
Her experience covers both voluntary and institutional fundraising as well as communications. Prior to joining Family, Andrea worked for ActionAid for over 10 years, most recently as international director of fundraising and communications.
Dr Annis Cohen +
Annis is a specialist in the psychological wellbeing of staff who work in trauma-exposed organisations. She works with organisations to assess their structure, policy and processes, and helps them to embed proactive approaches to support staff wellbeing and mitigate against the risk of burnout, compassion fatigue and secondary trauma.
She has expertise in providing trauma-informed supervision, consultation and individual therapy for staff affected by trauma exposure. She also has expertise in medico-legal assessment and in providing individual therapy for PTSD, psychosis and trauma reactions for refugees and asylum seekers.
Annis is the psychology lead for Specialist Psychosis Community Services at West London NHS Trust, and was formerly staff support lead at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
She has worked with non-government organisations including Human Rights Watch, Women for Refugee Women and Medical Justice. She is a member of the Psychosocial Support Team at the British Red Cross.
Abdulkadir Mohamed +
Abdulkadir is a mental health nurse at South Westminster Hub for the Central and North West London (CNWL) NHS Foundation Trust.
He has lived experience of the issues faced by TTI’s clients, having fled from his native Somalia during the civil war there in the 1990s, starting a new life as an asylum seeker in London.
Now, he regularly travels back to Somalia to give lectures to student nurses and healthcare workers about mental health.
Abdulkadir was highly commended in the Inspirational Adult Learner of the Year category of the Mayor of London Adult Learning Awards 2023.
teresa au: treasurer +
Teresa is a seasoned chief financial and operating officer, bringing decades of experience in financial management, strategic planning, and operational oversight. A certified public accountant with a strong background in external audit, finance and company secretarial duties, she has a proven track record of supporting strategic corporate development and business growth.
Teresa excels in driving new initiatives, from start-ups to business transformation, and is adept at change management. Her multicultural background, gained from working in various multinational companies across Asia Pacific and Europe, has endowed her with a profound understanding of global dynamics and the ability to navigate complex intercultural relationships.
Passionate about effecting positive change and supporting vulnerable populations, Teresa actively seeks volunteer opportunities to empower and uplift communities. She is driven by a commitment to making meaningful contributions in the realm of social impact, particularly in light of current global challenges.
Currently serving as the director of finance and corporate services at Health Innovation East, Teresa is dedicated to driving organisational success while also making a difference to the lives of others.
JENN KESER +
Jenn leads the international regulatory efforts of global financial company Tradeweb in her role as managing director, head of market structure and regulation.
She proactively identifies commercial opportunities, business risk and operational requirements associated with regulatory reform. Jenn sits on the Tradeweb Women’s Network Steering Committee and was co-chair of the company’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee in 2021.
Originally from the United States, Jenn covered political media analysis for chief political staff during the Gore-Liebermann campaign in 2000. She has previously volunteered in a humanitarian aid trip to Jordan for the Global Hope Network.
alan arul +
Alan adds value to TTI through the diverse range of experiences he has obtained over the last 20 years across sales, business management and marketing.
Having spent most of his career in a large, global and matrix organisation he has deep experience of tackling a range of complex business problems and navigating constantly evolving market, regulatory and industry dynamics.
With lived experience as a first-generation, French-born son of Tamil migrants from Sri Lanka, Alan knows well the impact of conflict on families through the generations and the necessity to access trauma treatment for the future generations to flourish.
Rob Lewis +
Rob retired some years ago from a long career in a multi-national organisation, where he worked in various management roles. These included strategic planning, marketing and project management, not only in the UK but also with expatriate assignments worldwide.
Since retiring, Rob has become an external governor of a further education college group. He is also a volunteer business consultant with the Cranfield Trust, which provides management consultancy and business skills advice to small- and medium-sized charities.
